DESCRIPTION:Kings of Tennis is proud to announce\, in association with Index Residence\, PTCA and ESTESS the Kings of Tennis Coaches Conference 2017. The Coaches Conference is in conjunction with Kings of Tennis at Stockholm Waterfront and takes place on Wednesday\, March 8. We have this time integrated science\, speciﬁc practical experience from the world of tennis\, international training and certiﬁcation. It is a unique composition of lecturers including Emilio Sánchez\, Luis Mediero and Dr. Mark Kovacs. \nSergio Casal\nCasal has had an incredible career on the ATP World Tour – especially as a doubles player where he is now ranked as All-Time World No.5. As a singles player his top ranking was No.31 and as a doubles player No.1\, achieving a remarkable total number of 48 ATP titles. Additionally\, he was playing for the Spanish Davis Cup team 14 years in total which is longer than anyone else has ever done. Casal and Sánchez played a lot of doubles together during their time on the tour\, the pair won the US Open in 1988 and the French Open 1990. In 1987 they were in the final of Wimbledon and won a silver medallion in the Olympic Games in Seoul\, South Korea\, in 1988. In 1995 Casal decided to retire from the tour and started in 1998 the Sanchez-Casal Tennis Academy with Sánchez in Barcelona\, where he is currently based and runs operations. Other sights where the academy is located are Naples\, Florida and Nanjing\, China. To name a few players that have come through the academy are Andy Murray\, Svetlana Kuznetsova\, Grigor Dimitrov and Daniela Hantuchova. \nLuis Mediero\nhas been actively training and coaching in Spain but also in many other parts of the world during the last 20 years. He is considered one of the most inﬂuential people in tennis education and plays a major role in the Spanish tennis training and development. Mediero founded the RPT and sits on the board of USPTA. \nMark Kovacs\nis one of America’s leading sports scientists in physical training and analysis. He has worked with the USTA and professional players such as Stephens\, Keys\, Harisson\, Young and many NBA and NFL players. He has authored over 50 scientiﬁc articles on physical training\, and he became the youngest recipient of the 2012 International Tennis Hall of Fame Educational Merit Award.
